First Interview: Danielle
Worked hard to win the fire building tie breaker. Terry talks about his pack with Danielle to go to the final two together. Terry shows them the Immunity Idol. Danielle says that she's trapped between two macho guys who are rivals.
Reward Challenge
Reward: Power Meal, Cot & Blanket
Type of Challenge: Race Up Climbing Wall.
Terry won Reward. (No one goes to Exile Island)
Aras ahead, first up wall. Terry in second but pulls out the win. Danielle never even got all of her pegs together to try and climb the wall.
Camp. Aras and Danielle talk like they have a pact; Aras says one of us has got to win Immunity. They eat a lot of fish. Terry returns from his meal with his cot. In private Aras says this really puts the pressure on Terry to win Immunity.
Terry reads Tree Mail, it has instruction for the Survivor Memorial at Exile Island. Video memorial of the other Survivors in the order in which they left the game. They burn everyones torhces in the freaky looking skull-shaped shelter on Exile Island.
Final Immunity Challenge
Type of Challenge: Balance on a Series of Floating Platforms.
Danielle won Final Immunity.
Fifteen minutes on each platform, they get smaller each time.
All three move on to the Second Platform.
All three move on to the Third Platform. This is a hard one to balance on. Terry had trouble even starting and is the first one to fall off. Aras goes off shortly afterwards.
Danielle wins the final Immunity! Her first one too. Will she chose Terry to be in the final two with her?
Scheming Is Free
Danielle says that she will take who she thinks has the best chance of beating. So much for that pact with Terry. Terry is calmly making his case with her (Aras not present). Basically he says he's the one because of Casaya loyalty. Now Aras and Danielle talking. Aras claims to have Cirie's vote and if Danielle doesn't take him to the final two then she will lose both their votes.
Tribal Council
Danielle says it's an honor to win final immunity. Terry admits he had the Immunity Idol. Aras says he though he was easily the choice to be in the final two with Danielle. Danielle says again how conflicted she is. Time to vote.
Danielle selects Aras to be in the Final Two with her. As Terry leaves he says to Danielle "You lied" and then to everyone 'Thanks for the adventure.'
Jeff Probst's Final Thought
Congratulations to Danielle and Aras, the power now shifts to the Jury.

My biggest mistake was not keeping the game in my hands . . . not bad for a 46 year old guy.
Last Day at Camp
Aras says that he has played with integredy. Danielle decided on Aras because of the Casaya connection. She trusted her gut. Food in the morning to help celebrate the final two. Aras slips and falls while drinking from a champagne glass and cuts himself on the back and hand. Danielle kind of freaks out. The doctors/medics show up to stitch Aras. Aras gets all philosophical about his accident. Aras and Danielle are all hugy and nice to each other.
The Jury
Opening Statements
Aras: wow guys, thank you, amazing experience. Worked my butt off in camp and challenges. I made an effort to get to know each of you. I played with integrity.
Danielle: Thank you making this an unbelieveable experience. I tried to play my best.
Questions
Sally: of 6 Casaya who helped the most to get you here?
Danielle names Cirie. Aras also says Cirie.
Bruce: What will responsibility of million dollars do?
Aras: try and make myself a better person.
Danielle: Share experience with young people.
Terry: rate 1 to 10 and why? (anger at Danielle first)
Aras: 9. Tried real hard.
Danielle: 8.5, 9. Cheesburger regret.
Austin: 1 positive move, 1 negative move?
Danielle: keep Bruce, Bob Dog off. Voting Courtney off bad, hard.
Aras: telling Melinda she's going. Not proud of voting off Shane.
Courtney: (rambles) What did you really learn about yourself?
Aras: My ego has been smashed.
Danielle: I didn't realize how mentally strong I can be.
Cirie: Why vote for other?
Danielle: Aras is an honorable and great person.
Aras: Danielle helped me after I cut my hand.
Shane: Terry most deserving. You two both are undeserving. Danielle never did anything. Aras, we had an agreement! You lied!! Judge on actions. I can't decide and I can't abstain so pick a number between 1 and a million.
Danielle: 10
Aras: 4
Final Statements (They both dealt with what Shane said about them.)
Danielle: wanted to be strong, be myself and make alliances. Feel played with honesty and integridy. Personaly I feel I grew. I think I did outwit, outplay and outlast.
Aras: Tough choice, I played the best way I know. Shane I'm sorry. Thank you guys.
Time to vote. Bruce is shown voting for Danielle and Terry for Aras.

I've read a lot of blogs, and no one has mentioned the most obvious thing about that final challenge. It was TOTALLY RIGGED for Danielle to win. It was all about weighing the least, and having a low center of gravity. No way Aras or Terry would win that. What a total job. I'm disgusted with the obvious rigging of the most important challenge of the season. I think I'll sit the next season out. I'm too disgusted to watch the reunion show, so I'm going to bed. ugh.
This is the first season of survivor where I was totally disappointed in the final two. I didn't want either one of them to win, and as it turned out, the one I LEAST wanted to win - Aras - won. He was such a poor sport during the game. Terry totally deserved to win. Oh well, it's just a "game" anyway.

TERRY IS THE SURVIVOR; WE THE AUDIENCE DESERVES A VOTE AT SOME POINT - DANIELLE HAD NO INTEGRITY - SHE OBVIOUSLY DOES NOT KNOW THE DEFINITION OF THE WORD - AND ARAS WHAT A 'WOOSE' ALL TALK AND NO GAME, POUTED LIKE A CHILD - NO LEADERSHIP - HE WOULD DIE ON AN ISLAND BY HIMSELF. BUT NOW HE CAN TAKE CARE OF HIS MOM. TERRY IS THE MAN - NO DOUBT. SHOCKING RESULTS THIS GAME.
When something becomes so obvious it's time to move to another show.
Too bad, I've been a Survivor fan from the beginning but no longer.
Why would you jepordize such a widely viewed show as Survivor by rigging the most important challenge of the entire game? Shame on you Survivor, shame on CBS for signing the show for another season and shame on us if we watch the next season. I for one am finished. This is too sad to believe. You had a good thing going and you had to ruin it. Guess maybe you're tired of doing the show and this is a great way to deep six it. Lots of luck, you're going to need it.
Terry should be the final Survivor standing!!!! So happy to hear that Danielle did not win.
I'm in total agreement with what the others have already stated. This will be my last season of watching Survivor as I 100% feel that the show was rigged so that Danielle would win the final challenge. CBS - shame on you!!!! Terry was the only one of those three remaining that truly played the game of Survivor - at least how I thought the game was suppose to be designed. CBS - perhaps you should let the viewers vote on who should win the million and let's see who comes out the true Survivor - hey, that's a thought. Anyhow, Terry should be sitting in the final two as he still held the immunity idol and he should have been able to use it all the way up until the end!!! I'm going to bed and not even going to watch the finale as I'm out on the Pacific Coast and it's only 9:39 p.m.

Didn't watch tonight and I'm glad i didn't. I haven't missed one show this season and i can't even believe that the final 2 could never survive by themselves. Terry should have won this!!!!He was on his own, no tribe members to back him up. He worked his Butt off, to win the challenges and did it. Without the members of his tribe cheering him on.He is my hero in this episode and should have won. Cirie was not what everyone makes her out to be. She was lazy and sat back and did not play much. She was just lucky that other members had it in with each other and forgot she was there. She did not desereve the SUV.
I am very upset that Terri didn't make it to the final two, let alone not win. He was the only one that I was cheering for. What a disappointment when Danielle didn't choose him like she promised. I'm very glad Terri didn't hand over his hidden immunity idol to her. If I was Terri, I wouldn't have tried so hard to kiss butt with everyone, just to be kicked in the butt in the end. What a man!!! He is definately the Sole Survivor in my book!

Everyone posted needs to just get over it! So what if the last challenge favored Danielle's body type. The real winner this season was Cirie. She should be going home with the million!

But what was Shane's number? He had a reason why he picked the certain number on the vote for Danielle, what was it? AND WHY WASN'T IT TALKED ABOUT?!
Yeh! what a dissapointment the last two episodes were. the first is cirie making fire,which she even said she had not done the whole game.the last challenge,when danielle looked at aras and they nodded,i knew terry had been had.this was so disappointing that i will skip the next survivor,as it will probably be not so honest. Terry deserved to win,he had my vote.
Several weeks ago there was a rumor going around (and reconfirmed through massive on-line betting for Danielle as the winner) that Danielle was one of the final two. The information supposedly leaked out from one of her co-workers. Isn't this grounds for elimination, or at least further investigation?
This show finally jumped the shark. I cannot stand to watch one more wimpy 20 something girl win Survivor by flying under the radar. Get smart, future Survivor contestants..vote off all of the lazy young girls first so you have a chance.
i MISSED THE LAST SHOW ON SUNDAY NIGHT BUT CAUGHT THE LAST 5 MINUTES I COULDN'T BELIEVE THAT ARAS WON THE MILLION. I TOTALLY AGREE WITH EVERYONE WHO SAYS THAT TERRY IS THE ULTIMATE SURVIVOR. HE REALLY PROVED TO ME THAT HE CAN SURVIVE BOTH IN THE REAL WORLD AS WELL AS IN THE JUNGLE. MAYBE THEY'LL BRING HIM BACK NEXT SEASON TO HOST THE SHOW.

maybe the last challenge favored danielle, but many of the other challenges favored stronger men and women did not stand a chance. The last challenge is always some sort of balancing act and favor women.

Could not believe that Terry did not win. I was so dissapointed that Danielle picked Aras. I am glad she did not win. In my book Terry is the sole Survivor. I applaud you for being a great sportman and being a gentleman.
How come Terry could not use the ammunity idol in the last vote
Rigged for Terry to lose with balancing against a woman and a yoga person. CBS is trying too hard to control the outcome (see last minute plane delays of Amazing Race) and its getting old. Danielle has no integrity and no brains, she never had a chance against Aras and was simply too stupid to realize it.
What a shame that Aras won , but I dont think Terry should have won as many people her seem to think. I think that Shane should have won this game! He is my hero

Terry of course was the best player with all of the odds (the other players) against him. We are all with you Terry, I am so sorry. But I do hope that Aras uses the money for good. He should definately thank God that he was in the final 2, because I don't think that the rest of America would have done what Danielle did and keep him in. I hope for CBS's sake they didn't rig the last challenge because that would be cheating and that is such a horrible thing to start teaching our kids and the next generations.
I think I speak for most of Canada when I say Sad,very Sad. Terry is the winner. We Canadians want to know if CBS helped Prime Minister Mulroney with the free trade deal?
Well, the message is say whatever you have to; lie to whomever you have to and you may make it to the final 2.
Danielle - you are a slimy person - Terry showed you how to make fire so you could win the contest with Cerie ( and honor your pact to take him to final 2): Aras worked with Cerie to win the fire contest so she could beat Danielle.
So she takes Aras to the final 2 and he beats her. That, at least is some justice.
Terry definitely should have won. Why would a show like this let Danielle pick the final person. Why didn't you have a quiz to eliminate rather than leave it to choice. Terry worked his butt off to survive all those shows. That was so unfair to Terry and Aras was so nasty I hate that he won.
I think you need to find a way to make sure the person that wins the most challanges gets to be in the final two. Let the other leaches fight out who gets to go up aganist them.Terry should have been it the final two.
Terry was my hero from Day 1. He definitely played the game like a total survivor! He is the winner and I hope he was compensated - since he didn't win the million, I hope he got more than just the SUV. I also LIKED Cirie - she has such an electric smile! I'm glad she got to have a car. Like Rufus, I hope Terry gets to have a chance for us to vote for him to get $1M.
I too have not missed a show all season until last night and after hearing how things happened, am glad I missed it and have no desire to ever watch it again.
Danielle should have recognized that she was not going to win against either of the two guys. She should have therefore picked the "ultimate survivor" and she should have informed the jury that Terry is the "ultimate survivor" and should win the 1 mill. She would have re-gained her intregity with the jury and the viewers. Unfortunately she decided to try to win and the ultimate "sneaky and on-edge" survivor won. By Danielle handing the prize to Terry would have given her the thrill of doing the right thing, but now she will second guess herself for some time to come.

Terry is what a man should be... He has intergrity, loyalty, and strength (in body and mind). The world would be a better place if we had more people like him. But what has this seasons Survior taught us.. dont be like that.. it wont get you anywhere.. no wonder we are falling apart.. TERRI you are the ULTIMATE SURVIOR.

All very interesting comments. The challenges are probably set before the game. While it may have appeared rigged, it probably was not. Terry surely deserved to win. But when does the player who deserves to win actually win. The game is designed to eliminate the best players toward the end. Also the human factor is what makes the game real. Danielle made a mistake. Terry should win. But as Colby said in All Stars: "It is a great game, and when its your time to leave, you just have to be OK with that. Survivor is still the ultimate game. I will continue to watch. But I do feel the producers meddle to much. They need to make sure the game is fair.
i did not think anyone deserved the million. thw whole cast of weird characters from shane to courney were so annoying to watch yes terry was strong but if he had not won the chanllenges and was forced to play his emunity doll. he would have been gone quickly he was not a people person. so if i had a hand tied behind my back i would have given the money to bruce because he played well until he got sick, i hope he comes back next season to try again.
How sad that a show that had been entertaining and somewhat "real" has turned out to be a series of master manipulations by the producers. Rigging the challenges is so obvious at times. What a great showdown it would have been between Arus and Terry. Who did Danielle outwit anyway????
Yep, looks like it's time to stop watching Survivor. Rigged final challenges? The best liars, NOT best competitors, coasting to the finals by flip-flopping right at the end? I agree with earlier posts that CBS needs to get the person with the most immunities into final two--somehow, someway. Better yet, re-tool the whole show--make it a show about SURVIVING based on skill, strength, and competition. Currently, the show is a ratings-grubbing soap opera about doing as little as possible to get noticed (including work), then lying to the people most likely to believe you (i.e. people with actual integrity), then backstabbing at the end to make the final two, where a jury of other people who've done ALL the work, have been lied to, and finally backstabbed have to choose the lesser of two evils. I know CBS...you think it's good TV. Perhaps by primetime, braindead standards, but it could be epic and live for 10 more years if done right. Here's one idea to get rid of the backstabbing at the end: give people somekind of "alliance medallion" or something that they can (or have to) give to ONE other person at some point in the game (probably in their most desparate time), then they can never vote for that person (think Danielle giving it Terri at the end, when she was gone but for PROMISING Terri that she would take him to the final two).
Terry, your wife and the rest of your family should be very proud of you. You have more fans than Aras, Danielle, Cirie, Shane or any of the remaining survivors. You are a gentleman, a family man and a true survivor. All the money in the world couldn't replace that.
Yes, I'm sure the editing process is severely manipulated so you don't get a true picture of any one of the contestants. However, to claim that CBS knows who the final three are going to be and therefore contrive a challenge that is rigged for one specific person to win, ridicuous. Had another person been in the top three, Cirie perhaps, or Shane, would there have been a different challenge? All of the challenges are built to favor a specific ability either physical or mental; strength, problem solving, agility, balance, stamina, endurance, speed. No I'm not pleased with the outcome, Terry was the best player hands down. No one was more p/o'd than me when that snake Richard Hatch won, and he lied and contrived and showed no integrity as a human being (still doesn't). So is this game really about surviving nature or surviving human nature? OUTWIT, OUTLAST, OUTPLAY.
get over it people, aras was the better player in survivor, the only think that upset me the most was the last challenge,cbs here's a hit, if you are going to favour the weaker person, don't make so obvious by putting that person right in the middle of two others in the water where she will not get any wind or waves.

I think I'm done with Survivor too. Terry should have won that game -- Danielle and Aras? They had their original tribe with them the whole time -- Terry HAD to win every challenge or he knew he would be voted off. What a joke!
everyone: This is a human game. Part of the deal is the people who do the time get to pick. Every season things like this happen. Rarely does the person who deserves to win actually win. It is a social game. Look at some of the other people who have gone to the final two. Life is not fair. Some challenges are meant to cause controversy in the tribes. But they do not come up with them at the last minute. They did not know who would be in the final three. All final challenges are endurance or balancing challenges. There is also always one "hanger on" around at the end who simply isn't worth voting off until then. Sometimes they win that last challange and make final two. My real disapointment was the lack of fireworks at the final vote. All of this talk of honesty and integrity: You CAN NOT make the final two with out stabbing someone, usually more than one, on your way to the final two. The game is SET UP THAT WAY. Only if you are in Terry's position does that change. He had no control, therefore didn't have to lie to anyone. Great position to be in, but very rare. The game is designed to be nasty. What gets me, the contestants who complain about being backstabbed are only upset because their own backstabbing failed.

whats all this whining about terri he was arrogant and all along was about him kicking everyones butt, its one thign to think it but another to repeatedly tell everyone else how great he was i was rooting for aras.
I'm glad Terry did't win! Every thing was his way or no way, just like the guy who won last season. I wish Cerie would have won, out of the final four she sould have won.

As long as the show is on, I'll be watching. I'll admit it, I'm hooked. Yes, sometimes who I want to win doesn't, but isn't that like the rest of life? I still enjoy people's interaction, decisions etc. under pressure. A really fascinating study of human nature, not always at it's best but still....
i have been watching survivor as long as its been on and the best players do not always win but i thinks a great testament to the human spirit that even if you are there for three days it still somehow makes you appreciate the little things in life that we all take for granted not just the money part

Another terry fan here. The last challenge was rigged by weight. Heavier people would not make it far on those platforms. You know they pay attention to their weight. That one challenge they had to hold themselves up, and weight was added based on their total body weight.
I missed the final show. I am upset that it was not mentioned at the end of Thursday's show that it would be on Sunday. They always reminded us before. I am so disappointed with the final two. I understand backstabbing is going to happen, but Danielle, enough is enough. I wish I could have seen the final episode and the reunion. Does anyone know where I can get it? I agree with most, Terry deserved to win, but that is not how the game is designed. He did create a record with the number of immunities he won. For anyone that doesn't think he deserved to win, you are basing your decision on personal feelings towards someone; maybe you liked their personality or thought they were cute. Noone was as tough as Terry, and noone could survive as well as Terry on an island by themselves. I do think it's time to change up the show a little, and not allow constant backstabbers to win. There should be an immunity in which everyone votes for who has backstabbed them and who hasn't, and the person with the most votes for backstabbing goes home and the person with the most votes for who hasn't gets immunity (or something like that). I think Teryy should win a million dollars for breaking a record!

It should be 7 votes for you in the end. You deserve to be the sole Survivor among all the Survivors. At least 99% people in the net world think so. CBS, shame on you...You've lost another true and loyal Survivor fan.

It may have been rigged, The winner of the last challenge was always going to be a smaller woman who was an ex gymnast with great balance. Terry was never going to win, not in a million years. The show now has a BIG credibility problem
